Thanks bud!  :drinking:
Didn't know it was also the heaviest, but just googled this "According to Guinness World Records, the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest is the heaviest building on the planet. It contains 700,000 tonnes of steel and bronze, a million square feet of marble, 3500 tonnes of crystal and 900,000 square metres of wood". :surprised:

Christmas is here!  :jumping:

Finally my BBK arrived after a full quarter.
A quick "unboxing" and off to the shop for the installation:

Tomorrow they should be ready for bed in.
If anyone is interested in the pads that came with this kit please PM. (CP5070D54-AFP404)  :drinking:

Did manage to loose some weight, but I've added some on the back:

Front brakes:

       AP Racing
       -calipers ~2,85 Kg
       -carriers ~0,88 Kg
       -discs ~8,5 Kg

       Cupra/S3/R32
       -calipers+carriers ~9 Kg
       -discs ~12 Kg

Rear brakes:

        Cupra/S3/R32
        -calipers ~1,8 Kg
        -carriers ~1,3 Kg
        -discs (Zimmerman) ~6,8 Kg

         Cupra/GTI
         -calipers+carriers+disc ~7.7Kg

So the weight saving in front ~8,77 x2 Kg minus the added weight at the back ~2.2 x2 Kg gives a total of ~13,14 Kg.
Happy with this result given that this is upsprung/rotational weight.

Some updates:

It was a lot of work trying to get to the track on Saturday, but I've managed to install everything, but there are some faults that should be corrected.
First we have installed the front brakes and a rudimentary cooling duct:

Because I couldn't be there i asked the mechanic to try to connect the duct in the center of the disc where the vanes take air, but he connected them to the side of the disc.
He also told me that the calipers were perfect centered and he didn't even have to use the spacers from AP Racing. I found out later that it wasn't so.  :scared:

Then we have installed the S3 rear brakes:

This was the final result:

After this we've tried to do a quick geometry because it was 11 at night and I had to be ready for the track the next day.
After only 30 laps of a 3,3 km circuit the front right tyre, a new DMACK Trackday medium tyre looked like this:

Unfortunately, the ducts were pulled off from the brake shields and the cooling didn't work, the heat shields stopped the vanes to take colder air.   Also the pads were new, and the calipers were not correctly centered so the exterior pads were always in contact with the discs. This has caused a lot of heat, I boiled the new Castrol RBF brake fluid and my top speed was about ~10Km/h less than the last time. I was also slower then the last time by 1.5-2 seconds per lap.  :sad1:

This is how the front calipers look now, on the exterior they are purple:

The slower speeds can have 2 causes: it was hotter by 10 degrees C and my timing was higher than usual (revo settings 6) or the brake pads were always in contact with the discs and this was slowing me down.

Sorry to know you had issues running the new brakes on track. I hope you get them sorted soon.

Thanks man!  :happy2:

Next week I'll go to a new mechanic, he's very skilled. He's the guy in charge of building the cars for my friends fuscobal, bogdanbd and drsilviuro.
He has already taken a look at the car and told me everything wrong with it. We will redo the brake ducts, center the calipers, change the fuel filter and check the gearbox which has some nasty oil on it, could be a real problem or it could be the boiled brake fluid that has overflown.

After that I'll do some logs and send them to Revo for analysis and find out the best setting for me.

Shame to hear about your issues mate. So much potential but you can't make the best of it because of silly problems (as usual). Should be an awesome car when its all working properly  :happy2:

You're right, problems as usual.  But you don't drown by falling in the water, you drown by not swimming up.
I will solve them eventually.  :happy2:

I didn't understand anything from the last trackday, my water temperature went at 120C, no power, overheated brakes. So i asked a hillclimb pilot that was there to try the car, thinking that the biggest problem was me. Turns out that my time was 1 second faster. I know my car.  :driver:

Today was a good day, we,ve finished installing the brake ducts version 2, they are discrete, barely noticeable behind the fog grills, unfortunately they produce a lot of new noises.

Next is a cap for street use especially winter street use. So "brake ducts" are out of the wish list. This is how they look:

And I've installed the new summer wheels, in my opinion they look beautiful. Not to bright so there is a contrast, not to dark so they are visible from more than 20 meters.  :jumping:
