High pitch screeching/grinding from N/S front wheel.

Mk5Dom:
Hi all,

MY07 Golf PD105 TDi, completely standard.

Past couple of days i have had a  loud screeching noise coming from the passenger side front wheel.

This morning it was kind of like a grinding/ scraping with a mixed in swooshing noise when turning the wheel to the left.

I'm on half day today so if anyone has any pointers I'll have a poke around when I get home.

Any help would be spot on.
Dom

Brake pads or heat shield. Or a stone stuck in either be my guess.

Mk5Dom:
Full marks.

Pulled what looks like a rabbit limb out from between the rotor and the shield. Funnily enough it was on the rear despite thinking it was coming from the front.

God knows how it got in there, never had a road kill.

Put it on your keys, rabbits feet are lucky  :signLOL:

I'll pass, but I'll happily send it you FOC if you'd like to make use of it.  :P
