Mk6 rvc in mk5 not working

 My car came with one fitted but has never worked. It comes up black on the rns510 when I engage reverse, but just stays black. The camera doesn't pop out. So I think maybe the power isn't wired correctly, also you can't open the boot via handle unless reverse is engaged. Should the handle be wired into permanent live, because it isn't.

Is there anyone that has a good knowledge of fitting these in Leicester area?

Any help in sorting this would be good as it seems like something small is just stopping it working.thanks

Hey buddy. 

Looks like there isn't a live going to the boot badge.  Looks like the reverse wire is going to the boot where the live should be. 

I'm up in Nottingham next weekend, can take a look if you like.
