GTI DSG nearly stalling when braking

I believe a symptom of a failing PCV valve can cause poor idling, possibly this could be on its' way out?

rich83:
IMO it's a sign of the old mechatronics not playing ball. Only fix is to replace the unit.

I've done the PCV idle check by removing oil dip stick and car went nuts as expected so Im assuming PCV is fine but ill be changing regardless.

Rich83, have you got any experience with replacement mechatronics units? costs etc? Would this issue bring up a fault code?

Appreciate the help

Llew:
It could be number of reasons I wouldn't jump to mechatronics so soon ,it could
Be  maf sensor that's where I would look next

Andy-GTI:
I agree I wouldn't be flinging any money at mech units untill I know 100% going to go for the simpler fixes first. The cars perfectly driveable at the moment as its barely noticeable most of the time.

I'll go with the PCV,  MAF then DSG reset/oil change.

Anyone else had this issue?

Also anyone had replaced/repairs mechatronics units out of warranty?
