Slightly off topic, but have you driven that Defender in the background much? I live down tiny country roads, can be hard in the GTI sometimes during the winter, always fancied one. Done a very short test drive in one but didn't really get a feel to see if I could live with one. Curious to see what you may think to it after an Ed 30. Thanks :)

Well that isn't my drive! That said I have driven lots of defenders - although not "Southern-fied" like that one. The ones i've driven were on hire from SHB. They are a hard ride but didn't fail even in the crazy conditions I put it through - mass fields on mud etc. Could you like with one? I did for 2 months, but then I generally get on with my cars regardless unless they are utter rubbish. My golf never failed me even in the snow, but never tried mud!

Thanks, always interesting to see how other people get on. I think I need a proper test drive/ to hire one for a few days to really see. Ideally would like to keep the GTI and have a Defender for dodgy weather/ crappy lanes around home. Best of both worlds!  :pomppomp:

Very Jealous, those R35 GTR's are awesome, don't often see a black one, normally grey. :happy2:
