To be honest if it's not causing an issue might be ok to leave it until it does.. If it is making a noise then the price can be changed big time if the adjuster needs changing (think this is a £250+ part).. The kit with the tensioner and chain is around £150 odd+ then you have the labour of 3 to 4 hours. Could end up being expensive :fighting:

What does the AC compressor have to do with the steering creaking? I've read this a few times on here, can anyone explain how they're related?

They're not lol, basically when I started this thread it was due to the knocking noise (cam chain) and then I added a few more issues like aircon not working and the steering creaking. All of which now are sorted :happy2:

If you can, find out the total price of all parts for the camshaft adjuster and what parts they changed (e.g. new camshaft chain needed?)
