Lovely build mate :happy2:
I need to do some of the same service items as you...
Can I ask...
1) How hard was the strainer swap? I'm not a mechanic but I do do virtually all the work on the car myself. I'm nervous I will possibly make a balls of re-sealing the sump and end up with it leaking after?? What do you reckon the chances of that are?
2) Did you clean your strainer or replace it??
3) How hard was the fuel filter swap?
Sorry for all the numpty questions :ashamed:
Hope you will have a blast at the ring  :happy2:

Thanks man.
1) the strainer swap was easy. If you can undo 23/24 bolts then you've pretty much cracked it. There's a few guides knocking about on here and there's some clips on YouTube if you get completely stuck. Asking as you clean the surface of the block and sump and use a small bead of sump sealant you'll be fine. I sealed mine, bolted it up then left for 20 mins or so before refilling with oil. Then I ran it up for half hour or so. No leaks yet.
2) I've seen some threads saying to just clean the strainer but I just swapped it completely. It's relatively and its just peace of mind.
3) the fuel filter was easy. Just in front of the rear right wheel. 3 pipes and a Philips screw and its off. Pretty easy. The pipes have a lock on them which you have to squeeze/depress then they just pull off. Takes 5-10mins max.
Don't be sorry I'm here to help.
Cannot wait to go. Should be a laugh. I'm going with a few mates. It's Gona be my gti, an e46 m3 and a Megane rs

Love this. I want one. Do you have a part number and where did you source it from ?
