smoke under hard acceleration

hello all

after abit of fun tonight with a TT, i noticed smoke in my rear view mirror when i was giving it some. slightly worried it might be the head gasket going? is there anything else is could be?

Stevepd:
Depends on what colour the smoke is/was, may be just fuel at the top end of the Rev range.
