You can do it safely with springs that don't lower the car much like the eibach pro's but the shocks may not last as long.

as bacillus says, remove the liner screw and tuck the liner up behind the tab to hold it in place, that should fix it :happy2:

Not sure what you mean by the liner screw and where the tab is. Can some one please elaborate?
I've had a look and can see there is a single screw which holds the plastic housing in the wheel arch.
P.S. With the screw removed won't that leave the bits to move around at high speed?
