Revo Stage 1 on 2006 GT Tdi (140BHP)
« on: June 13, 2015, 09:03:53 pm »
My car is in top condition especially as the mileage is at 133K miles.  I went Revo Stage 1 which boosted the performance AND improved economy by 5-10% However, within 3 months I've now had to replace the clutch AND turbo......I drive with a light right foot (regularly get 55-60MPG) but should I be worried that the Map will soon eat the new clutch and/or turbo? I have been advised by some people to get the map deleted...?! Have others experienced this after re-maps or is this just a coincidence given the mileage?

The revo maps can be pretty aggressive..If you have changed the turbo and clutch it should be okay

At that mileage it was likely due a new turbo and def clutch !, don't worry about the map, I bet those parts would have gone at that mileage anyway. If it makes you feel better my edition 30 had a new clutch at 50k and it was totally stock till that point, previous owner must have driven in town loads. Turbo wise, 130k is also good going !, wouldn't give the map a second thought, let it warm up properly and change the oil regularly with good quality stuff and it will be perfect  :happy2:

Good quality oil changed every 6 months should help protect the turbo. Millers Oils always get a good recommendation. Opie have the full range available.
