Glove Box Scuff

Dwarfus:
Has anyone tried the hairdryer/ heat gun technique on scuffs on the glove box. As the glove boxes has a rubber wrap over them i am a bit dubious. Otherwise does anyone else have an alternative suggestion as i have thought of trying to hide it with exterior trim restorer.
