Well the sound is definitely coming from where I suspected. Also when looking threw the removable inspection panel you can see the back of the flywheel and see where the plate has been rubbing on the back of it.

So preparation for the gearbox removal got started today.

I think it looks a lot better. Could have done without this miss hap but things done always go to plan. It will all be sorted soon. Hopefully I'll be driving her by weekend.

Well it's all running and driving finally!!
Had the day off yesterday so set about it on my own and got it all done by 4ish. Took it for a quick drive, shower then stuck with the Mrs all night lol
Covered about 100 miles in it today and all feels well, EML came on but fault indicates 2nd lambda so it must be because of the decat.

I'll get some pictures up when I've thrown a bucket of water over it.

Well not posted for a while.. Just thought I'd add a couple of pictures I took the other day. Some w*nker bumped into the back bumper in a local tesco carpark and drove off without leaving any details so I now need to get it repaired  :fighting:

All has been well since she's been on the road, no issues to report. Covered nearly 2000 trouble free miles! And got a Nurburgring trip booked for 11th September  :happy2:

I've bought a catback exhaust that I still need to fit, also fitted a genuine VW touch phone kit and got a cruise control stalk to put in. Still need to fit my brakes before leaving for the ring too!
