Whats people thoughts....hard or soft? Seems to be a can of worms.

I've always thought you were supposed to drive it carefully (not above 3000ish rpm) for the first 1000 miles, then do an oil change and use it properly from then on. A customer who came in with a brand new 991 GT3 said he wasn't supposed to go above 5000rpm for the first 2000 miles.

Once warm. Full boost keep revs below 4K for a bit. Then twat it. Engine running in isn't that critical.... IMO

From what I've read on R forum, most people just thrash it from day one (once oil is warm). Everyone following this rule has had little to no oil consumed  :happy2:

I too have heard this method is best for reducing long term oil consumption. It helps settle the piston rings into the cylinder wall.
