Engine components relay - earth?

Right...STILL having a nightmare with the golf. Had it at multipolar garages now, and getting messed about. Last one, today, in fairness isn't a vw specialist. But...actually gave me some good info!

There isn't an earth to the engine components relay. Which is going to be the cause of my problems by the look of it.

So, people, any ideas where the relay gets its earth from?
