Apr carbonio opinions
RedGolfDom:
Thinking of getting an intake and atm I'm tempted to get the apr carbonio and wonder what are peoples opinions? I was tempted to get the forge one but looks a bit ugly compared to the Apr one
Scottymon:
Had one, yeeeaaars ago, other than the slight engine bay bling, not worth bothering with.
IF you want noise and power increase (albeit top end) get a Neuspeed et al... I've had a few CAI's but got sick of the noise and deminished low end torque on a mildly tuned engine. I'm sure the standard airbox is good for 300++
Ricky123:
Had a carbonio on my last GTi, didn't notice any difference at all apart from it looking nice under the bonnet.
I then had a nuespeed P-flo kit and then went to the k&n typhoon, both sounded nice in my opinion and didn't notice any torque loss at all.
RedGolfDom:
Okay may have to look into a cone one then! Just love the look of the carbonio but I'd rather get slightly more gains than looks I guess

I have the apr carbonio after trying a few cone on a stick options , they are good if your going for big power but I found the carbonio kept temperatures down over stabdard and kept the low down torque in comparison to the others and just generally flowed better than standard which was enough for me. I wouldnt pay the full price for it though as its crazy money for what it is. I picked mine up off ebay for 80quid that someone was selling. Carbonspeed also make them that are a little cheaper
