Get it wrong and it's off the side of a mountain. Get it right and it's simply perfect.

Is it the a470??

A483 - A470 - A44.

Some sections you can see 3 or 4 apexes ahead, so if the road's quiet, and dry, it's bloody brilliant!

Incidentally I drove it in the wet last week, and let's just say these Michelin Super Sports are GOOD.

I've already done that run a couple of times on my bike. My main riding buddy is practically a walking AtoZ for Wales lol

Can't beat the roads round there. Not done much in a car but I normally set off at around 5am on a Sunday on the bike,  Try and break land speed records around Wales, home for say 2pm, sit down and wonder how I'm still alive

Haha, yeah the journey from mine (north notts) to Dinas usually takes 5 hours. Last couple of times in the GTI it's been 'a bit less'...

Loads of bikes on there making similar progress if you know what I mean! Just got to be wary around Welshpool, seems to be quite a few camera vans about.

But further on, when you get up in the hills, it's there to be had. Good fun. And shows the standard 312 brakes up as a major weak link of the GTI!

Mate do my usual jaunt - A272 from Winchester to Petersfield. Amazing.
Then if you are free on time you can head down the A285 to Chicester, then you can take a right turn along some proper back end country roads. Wonderful, used to hit them on my bike a lot

Nice little list going here guys thanks very much. Will definitely try to get a few of these done next week.

@rich83 that's a proper road trip mate I bet that was a hoot. I imagine you did it over 3 days?

Fantasic even if you can't travel at supersonic speeds!
