Sorry for the down time.

The forum has been moved to my server .

You should notice that its running a little faster and the search is working. Please point out any bugs.

When I get a bit of time I think an upgrade is in order with image uploads.

Re: Dynaudio retrofit guide missing?

Hi,

I'm interested in upgrading my Golf V to the Dynaudio sound system.  Google tells me there is (or was) a retrofit guide for this job hosted in these forums.

However, when I go to the link, the top

Re: From coilovers to lowering springs - what will I need?
Last Poster: The Red Warrior in Mk5 General Area on Today at 09:48:48 AM
It depends on whether or not your current coil overs use the original VW top mounts. If they do, then sweet, use those. If they don’t, then you’ll need some new ones. Other than that, all bolts will be reused. The only specialist tool you’ll need is the one to undo the top mount nut. It’s essentially a socket with the side cut out allowing an Allen key to go in there to hold the sh

WillNi's Red 5dr Edition 30

With miles steadily creeping up at work, I decided to get the Edition 30 a friend.

A used White Silver ( That’s the official colour, not that I can’t remember what colour it is ) 2018 GTD, with leather and a sunroof.

Can’t wait to get a good clean at it.

Weighted gear knob options?
Last Poster: Chesto18 in Cosmetic/Interior Modifications on Today at 07:38:42 AM
Can anyone point to a decent weighted gear knob, that looks decent, doesn’t cost the earth, and fits a VW gear shaft?

Black Forest Industries do a good range but they cost a fortune.

The Forge one is a better price but it’s the size of the moon.

I’m looking for ways to add resistance or a weighted feel to the almost tension free slopfest that is

Sound Advice AJP.

I will have to make a decision soon.  A few brands I've not heard of might be worth a look.

It would be more for comfort now adays, the boy racer is going grey and balding.  I consider the full kit upgrade to prolong the length of the shocks and springs as I know the MK5 GTi is bad for breaking springs.

Much appreciated  :happy2:

Quantum 5w-30 for the oil, I use Mann filters.

I've just bought 5l of the above oil for £20. I normally use Miller's nanodrive which is usually £40-£50.

Re: Climatronic LCD displays and LEDs flickering, now dead, but unit still works?!
Last Poster: I gotta habit in How to Guides / Troubleshooting on Yesterday at 05:03:48 PM
OK, so I took the centre console apart, removed the head unit and then the Climatronic panel: wiring harnesses were in good shape, all connections solid.

A more comprehensive search in other Golf forums suggests that this is a common problem in older iterations of the R32 (backlights start flickering and eventually die) but no one could come up with a fix for it. So it

Fitted the APR Pendulum mount and a Superpro Dogbone insert.

Definitely an improvement over stock.
Quick gear changes are tighter and smoother, wheel spin/hop is much less on take off.
Cabin noise has increased but not too much, although it was louder to begin with and i had some rattli

Every now and then my sunroof tilts up, all on its own,  for no reason. No rhythm to it, you could drive all day,  no problem,  another day you could be out for a half hour and up it'd go.
And in the frosty weather before the weekend,  it opened upon unlocking the car,  and I had to cycle the

Hi,

Sorry to make an old thread come back to life but I have just got myself some VXR recaros and they are heated and have the seat belt sensor and airbag too but I am trying to find a way to wire them to the edition 30. Can I just use the connectors from the edition 30 seats and connnect them up to the corsa seats? Have tried a  thread already but no reply on there :(

      R32 Wingback Seats
      £1300.00
      Location: Enfield
      Collection Only

I bought these with the intention of having them retrimmed and fitted to my Edition 30, however I have decided to focus on changing my car in a year or so, hence I’m reluctantly putting the seats up for sale.

The bolsters are in good condition as seen by the pictures. The seat lining has come away from the rear, so will need to be reclipped by a trimmer. The person I bought the seats off decided to cut the wires, hence the black connectors will need to be soldered to the wires. I have bought the connectors from TPS and are included in the price.

I have lowered the price by £150, now 1300 ovno

The seats will need to be collected from Enfield.

      Thanks
