How are you getting on with this? From the OBD port the can wires go direct to the gateway, vcds talks to the gateway, the gate way allows can traffic to flow, if you get no comms with engine ecu check gateway DTCs and MVBs. On dash what does your esp do/not do? If the light on the button never lights up it’s more likely your esp is never on. Can you get comms with the ABS and Tran

In theory yes, although the standard downpipe/centre joint normally has the tubes both the same size which just butt together then a longer double clamp or sleeve goes over both.

It should also be a simple job for one of the custom exhaust shops to add a silencer, not sure how much though.

Decided to take the plunge and join the active community of this forum. I must start out and say how incredibly helpful this forum has been. I couldn't have done all the work without this forum for sure.

This is my first foray into hot VW ownership, however there is a 2 owner 2011 Audi S3 on low miles in the family which is such a joy to drive, the power and grip is supe

Removed the decat downpipe and sent it to the welders to have a 200 cell sports car welded in. I'm hoping;

1. It will pass mot
2. It will be quieter

Now the big question and one I'm getting split opinions on is will the current map that's on the car need to be altered afte

I do not think that dry cleaning is much more effective, although with its help you can achieve amazing results. My friend used a professional cleaning service for carpets and rugs, as he constantly orders carpets for himself and for sale, and I often see him doing this - he runs back and forth and makes sure that the carpet is not spoiled)) Scream. I cannot imagine if someone woul

Hi all,
Appreciate that there’s a ton of threads regarding the rcd330’s and their battery drain, but I’m struggling to find a direct answer to whether or not a mfsw cable will stop battery drain on a mk5 golf? Seen a few conflicting answers and I’m not too sure

    posted on behalf of @DannyboyED30 (the second owner) who is now selling the car , of which I (@john_o) was the first owner from new.

    @DannyboyED30 states  :

    I am Selling my Manual, 3dr Edition 30.
    I have owned this beautiful car for almost 3 years now,
    I bought it from the guy who put the order in at VW and owned it from brand new...
    He used it to commute from Warrington to Manchester daily, so it's had some pretty easy miles in it's lifetime.
    The previous owner (a middle aged man) had Bilstein B12 suspension installed, Audi S3 front brake setup and also a Revo remap to really make the most out of the engine.
    This car has genuinely only ever been run on Shell Vpower fuel, the previous owner documented his ownership of this car in an online blog.

    Some photos of the car are here : https://photos.app.goo.gl/v7tjSUYrurm9wKcU6

    In my ownership I've had a

    Sachs organic clutch installed,
    the cam chain and tensioner replaced
    brand new rear brake calipers.

    The car benefits from a fully stamped up service book, loads of history and even the original purchase pack, receipt and options list.
    I've had the car looked after by UK renowned VAG specialist The Phirm in my ownership and have invoices for 3k plus for various jobs keeping the car 100%.
    I believe this car is mechanically perfect and will be reliable for many, many years to come.
    The previous owner had a couple of parking dings, which i've included pictures of...the wheels could also do with a refurb, but if you want a reliable and well cared for ED30 this is the one.
    Always run on matching Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, 2 brand new tyres fitted last week. It's just been MOT'd (no advisories) and had a full service carried out.
    It's good to go and be enjoyed by the new owner. Selling due to a house move and purchasing an estate!
    The Thule roof rack will be included in the sale, but not the bike carrier.

    This is a rare chance to own a highly prized Edition 30, with the unique opportunity to be able to talk to the only 2 owners of the car from new, much of which is also recorded on @john_o  s personal blog

    Next MOT due 21/10/2021
    Full service history, Black, 2 owners

    Any queries please contact @DannyboyED30
