Sorry for the down time.

The forum has been moved to my server .

You should notice that its running a little faster and the search is working. Please point out any bugs.

When I get a bit of time I think an upgrade is in order with image uploads.

The washer is fixed to the plug hence you're meant to change the plug every time you removed it, should be plenty for sale on eBay.

Dan - as far as im aware, Costco used to sell 97 Super Unleaded but now 99 Ron - it certainly the case at Costco Chadderton and Trafford.

My local Costco used to sell 99 RON Super Unleaded, went back there a few days ago to top up and was wondering why the fuel ha

As you're using a third party XTRONS unit you probably could get away with the older Canbus Gateway but I can't verify as I have an OEM RCD330 in mine with the updated 7N0 gateway.

Though you could modify the unit wires to prevent battery draining in standby position, see here for info.

It's all a bit silly really.  My TPS is right behind my dealer  :grin

So is mine and my dealer knows I use Tps so they give me the same discount.............they also (my dealer) give me old girl rates which now makes my dealers rates almost as good as an indie but I g

55mm is the girth of the shock absorber, which you can measure if you have a set of calipers.  As AJP said, all but the very earliest of GTIs will have the girthier 55mm size  :happy2:  A wider strut allows more oil capacity and a bigger piston, which gives better damping

The Racingline kit is great for daily cruising and is cost effective, but it runs out of t

I meant the fronts  :happy2:    The only rear seats close to fitting in a MK5 are MK6 ones.

Re: Mayonaise under oil cap
Last Poster: Pudding in Mk5 General Area on Today at 11:28:45 AM
Mayo is just condensation.  ALL cars do it.  Hot crank case air and oil vapours rise to the coldest part of the engine and emulsify.

It happens on mine and I do 60 miles a day.  The summer months will get rid of it as engine warm up is a lot faster.

Head gasket failure is extremely rare on engines with MLS head gaskets, which have been standard fitment for n

@Absolute - is just a mounting dowel that needs drilling on the TTRS pressure plate and you should use an original / TDi friction disc with the correct spline mounting. Is worth googling diy RSR clutch kit to get more insight and parts numbers etc.

Another clutch option is the new stage 2 kit offered by ECS.  As the SMF is still moderately heavy, it should give a decent

Do you have a standard steering wheel at the moment? Don't think you can just retrofit the buttons and module into a standard one, unless you have the cutouts for the buttons?

A lad on here cut his up like a prison snitch @ https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=95667.0. Wasn't tempted myself, don't think it's a very good method at all.

hi mate, that doesn't sound good at all does it! and very strange!

Even with the genuine tools, your cams will/can still move slightly and can indeed knock it out a tooth! Trust me.. I know!

When I was out a tooth you could hear the engine misfire every few seconds. start your engine and once idle has settled listen for a miss! you'll know if its out a tooth!
