Fair enough, no idea then. Mine came with the RCD 500. Same 3 speaker in the front, 2 in the rear setup. But no dedicated crossover. Unless the amp has a built in crossover.

Not sure to be honest.  I have the RCD510 DAB, these crossovers in the front door with 3 speakers......then rear doors with 2 in each.

My GTI is a late 2005

My GTI has the 10 speaker audio system not the usual 8, and the drivers side Mid was not always working unless the volume was cranked up.....then it came alive. 

It was not the wiring to the door as that must be fine as the tweeter and bass speakers were fine.

The Mid speaker was fine as all were replaced a couple of years ago so as a last resort I decided to swap out the factory crossover (the 10 wire, triangular module that the door have) and it worked





I have full sound now and it also sounds better, so the original must have failed.

Do you have an amplifier? Also what year is the car again? I have an amp, 10 speaker kit, it's 2006 and I dont have this crossover. I always wondered what part goes where those 3 screw holes are. Now I know

I was REALY fotunate to find it!! Don't regret at all that I didn't buy the VR6...
Yes it isn't the fastest but I REALY enjoyed the ride back home😍
The 8v is now in Belgium and I got 99% of all the parts so in the next couple of months it 'll
get the attention it needs♥️👍🏼 Engine & body wise...
I just attended a very nice meet in Imotski🇭🇷 last sunday...I'll defenitly be back next year👍🏼
