Post by: alan1572 on January 30, 2009, 04:58:52 pm
i have a 2003 gtdi sport 2.0. of late i have had 1 or 2 problems, first about 2 weeks ago the passenger door warning light on the dash come on even thou the door is shut, shortly after the passenger window stopped working, somtimes if you slammed the rivers door the passenger window would work, now when i alarm or dis-arm the locking the lights don't flash, can anyone tell me if these are related or 3 dfferent problems?

Quite possibly all linked.  I'd say the door control module will be reporting an error.

How long is a bit of string - You don't know what's wrong with it yet.

My advice would be a Diagnostic check either by one of the kind members here with VCDS or a dealer using the VAS system.

Don't be tempted to try and save money with a poorly equipped independant using a handheld scanner or similar, it won't give you the full story.

Where are you based?
