Hey folks, has anyone had their headliner replaced recently (MK5 Golf GTI) due to the common sagging issue? Would really appreciate any tips or recommendations for decent upholstery trimmers in the Sussex area. Cheers!

Yes and no.
The rings I mentioned gave a lumpy idle that sounded like a misfire, but the car was not misfiring due to a lack of oil pressure to the cam phaser not being able to manage it correctly.
I also had a misfire on cly4 due to carbon build up but still that was not registered as an error code but could see the count and hear it also.

I'#039ve replaced the 3 plastic rings around the VVT adjuster but no difference. I have massive misfires on cyl 3 when idle. It sometimes logs 20, sometimes 80 before it reset. My camshafts look worn out, pitted and rusted so la

Hi guys,
Is there a way of finding out which brake pads you have? I notice on most of the part sites that there are a couple of variants. I've got a standard, 1.6 FSi BLF.
Thanks!

I have an Edition30 GTI and enjoy modding, but I just didn'#039t want the noises and hassle associated with swapping out for an aftermarket one (including fuel trims and the fact the EA113 is an ugly ass engine which needs the nice OEM cover over it) - it only really works well on naturally aspirated

Always feels good when another enthusiast gives you a thumbs-up.
I often(-ish) drive past Blandford. That A354 to and from Salisbury is a good fast road when traffic conditions allow.

Very interesting thread and thanks for posting the finished result!

My solution to the speedo is to have a Road Angel with digital display in line-of-sight centrally at the base of the windscreen. The OEM speedo
