Title: New member moving over from Audi...
Post by: A3_Atif on April 20, 2015, 03:23:44 pm
Hi guys, just thought I'd say hello having lurked on these forums the past few months after I decided I'd like a MKV GTi.

Previous (and first) car was a A3 TDi lump, BKD engine which was relatively good for me over 2 years. Was time for a tfsi though and I decided a mkv was the best all rounder out there, for looks, feel and poke. Had an eye out for a few - was looking for one with xenons, DSG, sunroof, leathers so you could say somewhat picky.

Finally found one, with a nice few extras..

Currently running stage 2+ with a Forge Twintercooler and Twintake, with some sort of Turboback on there, dyno printout shows 274bhp without an upgraded hpfp?

In terms of interior spec - heated leathers, mfsw with paddle shift, auto lights/wipers, cruise control, Pioneer sat nav with some sub and alpine amp and highline display.

Welcome to the forum.

Looks like you've found a good one with plenty of kit!

Thanks AJP, is it a car you've seen on the forums before?

Don't think so, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone on here knows of it.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I'm sure I'll learn as much from my time here as I have done from ASN. Forum layout is a little bit different but hey not long before I'm used to that! The colour does turn a few heads, they seem far and few between! And the r32 rear

And car is well specc'ed, unfortunately its got a few issues - lose boost intermittently (or fuelling/misfires) which I need to pinpoint via VCDS later today and a there's something definitely loose in the front passenger side so needs to get on a ramp tomorrow.

I'm not expecting either bill to be too much hopefully!
