Title: Best Engine Oil Brand and Rating (Budget Edition)

Looking for a recommended Engine Oil brand, range within the brand and rating.

I need to do an oil filter change and would like to hear recommended brands.

I live in North Scotland for any oil rating choices.

I've just bought 5l of the above oil for £20. I normally use Miller's nanodrive which is usually £40-£50.

502.00 fixed = 10K
504.00 variable = 9 to 20K

502 I would go with Mobil 1 or Motul Specific.
504 I would go with anything of a reputable brand to be honest

Considered the Millers but just a little out the price bracket. Maybe in the future.

Post by: pudding on March 20, 2019, 10:47:46 am: Are Castrol still playing that stupid game? Partly why I stopped buying their oil years ago. Apart from my MK1 GTI which took 3.5 litres with a filter change, I've never owned a car since that takes less than 4.5 litres.

Just bought 5L of Nano and it was 57 bangers.... not cheap. :sick:

According to my recent research it now seems that castrol are now selling Edge in 5 litre bottles.
