Post by: jacko78 on February 04, 2009, 10:15:43 pm
does anyone know if its possible to activate the passenger mirror to tilt down like the R32 does when you select reverse on a gt.also when unlocking and dropping the windows down with the key is it possible yo drop only the 2 front windows on a 4 door using vag-com

The parking mirror thing was an optional extra for £110 and you got the electric folding mirrors with it.

Might be possible if you have the appropriate mirrors + wiring looms + vagcom.

sure my ed30 did it and I never spec'd it, I think its std you just have to have the mirror adjust knob in a certain postion when you select reverse or something

no just tried it the glass doesnt tilt,u see i dont think ill need extra parts as the mirror glass already tilts so iam presuming its just a matter of activation using vag-com to activate

it can be turned on if  the car was specced with it, I doubt anyone ever turned yours off so it's a safe bet it's not there, also you mention puddle light cable are thee, when I looked into it the cables are not there, neither are the control modules ( again unless the car was specced with it)

The glass only on the passenger side used to tilt down when I put the car in reverse with the adjust knob selected to the left mirror like Mat said

Stick your mirror switch on the left mirror and stick it in reverse it should work
