Hi everyone, I brought a mk5 off here earlier this year and thought I had a lovely car, anyway turned out to be bodged up on more than one occasion. My EPC light has been coming on, and one of the things that was bodged on the car was the solenoid switch on top of the fuel pressure regulator, I superglued the switch just as a temporary fix to wait on the part and it was working fine for a while, however I wanted to know if this would cause the EPC light to turn on, or would it be something more to do with my exhaust? Any help would be brilliant, thanks, Joe.

the EPC light can come on for a numerous things.. have you replaced the bodged sensor? if not, then replace it and see if the light goes away. other than that, you'll need to have it scanned.

You are answering the question yourself, replace the sensor and fix the car the sensor you are talking about is it the high pressure fuel pump on the front passenger side of the engine?
