I liked this mod; it's not overly expensive, easy to DIY and is pretty neat to open the boot from the keyfob. But, it does have some drawbacks, the main one is that once the temps start dropping it doesn't "pop" so well and just leaves the boot slightly open. I found I had to really wind out the bump stops before it worked in winter, and this puts additional pressure on the latch.
