Not without swapping wires from your Gen3 module to Gen2

So easy answer is no it wont work unless you're up to the challenge of wire swapping in the door harness

motor index should be N or Q on Gen3 MAX modules.

I just used Mk6 modules in mine.. 5K - 792A/793A (electronic module partnumber and not regulator motor partnumber.)

I understood folding mirrors was manually activated - it is on my 2006.
Automatic fold would be a nice upgrade

Yes they are but I am sure you can use a seat door module to do it but don't know about the mk6 door module

+Gen3 modules can be changed in EERPOM to allow mirror fold with comfort lock on the remote button.

None of the modules that'll fit the mk5 can fold by only pressing lock buttons once - you need to hold the button and use comfort closing.

However if you swap you old CECM+CCM modules and build it all over to a BCM like I did - then It's possible to change the comfort press time on the remote in the BCM EEPROM :)
