Hello, as noted in the title, I am facing two issues. My car has been tuned on two different maps (stage 3) by two different tuning specialists. The same problem persists across every tune. At high RPMs, the pressure in the LPFP (low-pressure fuel pump) significantly drops. I have installed both a new LPFP and a new module (both by Pierburg), yet the issue remains unchanged. I then

Just want to say a big thank you for the guide, helped immensely with changing the lock on a VWGolf Plus 2006, though a little longer as I had to use an angle grinder on the lock bolts having sucked in a large breath! Lost the small rubber that held the handle chassis but easily replaced.

Note that the issue was the "quotred"quot lever was not fully engaging when using the re

Recently completed the build with a used k04 turbo apparently from a 66k S3. nbsp Was running fine for 2 months before the build was complete. A month down the line and the thrustmaster bearing had smashed to bits. Got it rebuilt with an uprated bearing and touchwood its been great. nbsp Am I right in thinking this was down to a poor custom tune? The mapping company suggested a brandnew

I managed to break mine trying to transfer it to the new grill, but I can't seem to find an exact match without going to VW - and they want best part of £50! Anyone know where to get a good one on the aftermarket?

Fitting part 9 would have to be perfect or the skirts wouldnt sit correcty. OCD would kick in nbsp :scared: :scared:

Yeah exactly, that'#039s why I was hoping there is a version of the sills pre drilled or at least marked for the screws, it would be near impossible to get it righ

Thanks for the response, I did end up doing the chain and tensioner along with the adjuster and it'#039s now a lot quieter and the sound has gone.
However, I did hear a lot of ticking from the purge valve, so I put back my old one and that'#039s also a lot quieter

Reason I changed the purge valve initially was because of the P0441 code but that was due to needing a new ch

@Octoparrot I couldn'#039t agree more, for the money and the overtaking shove it was worth it. True enough i don'#039t have the sticker on the window of some insta-famous tuner but they have been around enough years and must have done thousands of maps over different platforms to know roughly what they are up

K03 turbo outlet diameter
Last Poster: ajmludders in Mk5 General Area on April 10, 2024, 10:43:15 am
I am thinking of upgrading the full exhaust system from the OEM stock but wondering if a 3-inch system will fit onto the stock k03 turbo mounting?

So for example would a Miltek 3-inch downpipe fit onto the K03 turbo mounting?

Thanks in advance!

Did you check the cam adjuster seals as they can crack, wear or break off completely.

They control the oil pressure at different rpm stages. nbsp If one fails it could cause a rattle at idle, mid rpm or high rpm......I had the first and last issue over the years related to these rings. nbsp Last one related to wear when I got the car and the first one from when the cam chain w

Checked with VCDS for errors?

Worth checking the pedal travel values on VCDS, as it is drive by wire and may be faulty.

Re: Are Japanese lightweight 17” Monza wheels a thing?
Last Poster: mjmallia in Mk5 General Area on April 08, 2024, 08:11:00 am
The genuine BBS Monza's also have to have the metal tyre valve due to the hollow spokes........you are not able to fit the standard rubber valves.

That is an easy tell off pictures.

Common of the early Mk5 GTI's as I have my original set in the garage.

Hi all,

For sale is my 2008 Volkswagen Golf GTi Edition 30 (DSG). I am the 2nd owner from new and have owned the car since November 2021. The car was near enough stock when I purchased it and I have upgraded it in my ownership.

- Xenons.
- Heated seats.
- Highline MFD.
- Arm rest.
- MFSW.
- RNS510.
- Folding mirrors (heated).
- Rear parking sensors.

In my ownership I have had the following maintenence completed:

- Serviced 3 times (2 full services, one oil and filter change).
- Cambelt and waterpump.
- Thermostat replaced.
- DSG service.
- Genuine cam chain and tensioner.
- Genuine cam follower changed at every service.

- AP coilovers (top mounts replaced all around at the same time), fitted December 2023.
- All rear control arms replaced (December 2023).
- Geo By Luke fast road alignment (December 2023).
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all around.

I've just spent circa £2.5k on the suspension components refresh.

I have spared no expense on ensuring the car is mechanically sound.

Being honest, the car could do with the wheels being refurbished. There is general wear and tear on the car which is expected for the age, the car is approaching 16 years old. There are some minor dents and scratches. The front end does have some stone chips. The inner sills have some slight blistering to the paint. The MFSW buttons work intermittently but I have bought the new control module but haven't had this fitted yet. The cruise control is also intermittent and I have purchased a new stalk, but haven't fitted this yet. Parts will be included in the sale, or if I have time, I will get them installed before sale.. Front and rear dash cams & pioneer double din are not included in the sale.

If you are looking for a well sorted car which mechanically has been looked after well, this is a good car to purchase.

I am in no rush to sell, only considering selling to upgrading. No part exchanges please.

The pictures are prior to the installation of the coilovers, I will upload new pictures once I have detailed the car.

I'm looking for £11,495.00, I paid just under this when I bought the car stock.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Kind regards,

Sharif
2 x Mk5 Gtis being broken, West Midlands
£0.00
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Postage: £0.00
Delivery or Collection

I have, in annoying and frustrating circumstances, ended up with 2 Black Gtis that are both dead on my drive, both for engine reasons, so I couldnt even get away with making a good one out of the two, and have had to replace them both with an R32!

I will start pulling them apart and will list stuff separately as I have the chance, however, due to lots of stuff that is going on at the minute, that may take me ages, so I thought a general post about both being broken may be helpful for anyone who is after specific bits etc.

One is an 05 5 door, block and head are totally scrap.  Was in daily use until a couple of months back when the engine lunched itself.  Pretty much all standard.  Of note off the top of my head has:

- Heated Leathers in decent condition
- Standard Grey Leather Gti Steering wheel
- 17" Monzas with decent Tyres
-  Midline Clocks
- Generally things are pretty tidy, so anyone who needs standard bits like engine cover, trim, light covers etc etc etc, they might be of use to you.

One is an 06 3 door, with a few more tasty bits and pieces on, but that has been sat for longer.  Again, engine itself is lunched.  Again, from the top of my head there is:

- Heated Cloth interior in not bad condition
- Black MFSW
- Cat Back Stainless, although the cat itself was getting borderline on MOT passes, so maybe just the backbox of use
- 18" Monzas
- Neuspeed Intake
- Twintercooler Setup
- Reversing sensor setup rear bumper etc
- Highline clocks

There will be other decent bits on both - As I say, I am working a bit off memory at the minute.

I just need the cars gone, so once I get started, really I just need it all out the way, so not especially bothered about getting top dollar for bits, I just need the space back, but know that the bits on them both are too good to let go for scrap.

I am based just outside Walsall in the West Midlands, but work in Cardiff, so go there most weeks, and am happy to take stuff there (or meet people in between).

Shout if any questions, and as I actually get stuff off I will get pictures up, but if people want me to get pictures of anything specific, let me know and I can do.  I am actually listing this right now when I am away from home with work for a few days, as thats the only way I actually get time to, but feel free to send me questions etc and Ill answer best I can, then send pics when I get back.

I dont love posting car bits out - There is too much room for stuff to get damaged, go missing etc  - I would much rather collections, or meet you somewhere etc in an ideal world, but it can possibly be arranged on some stuff.
