Title: Anyone know what could be causing this fault code??
Post by: kodirl on November 17, 2019, 06:16:22 pm
Hey folks car seems down on power in the lower gears when driving. Idle is consistent around 700rpm but when driving at a steady 70mph revs seem to go up and down by 100rpm every couple of seconds. Below is scan diagnostic from obdeleven. Any ideas?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191117/0e1653432258b795f799bace6b68c151.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191117/d83c77bea14c9f33de41e5100297de85.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191117/70f7b2f7b80f53f9b0b077dd01454f80.jpg)

The fault code and the first live data screen shot indicate a bad MAP sensor.  1.6 bar of boost at idle?

1000mb as the MAP sensor is in the boost pipe, so doesn't read vacuum.

Thanks buddy, after going to install my new map sensor today it turned out the old one wasn't even connected . The mechanic who did my timing belt and thermostat obviously didn't reconnect it. Great to have my car back again as it was seriously down on power. Now to try and bring back the map sensor and get my money back .....
