Title: Sharkfin Aerial Antenna Rubber
Post by: jamie on July 17, 2018, 09:44:34 pm
Hi all, the rubber around the aerial/antenna mounted on the Sharkfin has perished on my Ed30. Do these just screw in?  It looks like a square nut is at the base of the whip antenna?  I just want to replace the antenna - not the whole base as that is OK.

It seems tough to turn so thought I'd ask... Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Just to add, I've got a factory fitted RNS-510 with navigation but no DAB.

Thanks.

It's just a screw so will turn to back off.
I've been looking for a replacement also as mine is perished but im going to use one on a mk2 as ebay specials are dodge and might not not work.

Unfortunately VW doesn't sell just the seal for these antennas. You can only get the whole base that comes with the seal and the nut that holds the base of the antenna to the roof. The base part number is: 1K0035501F.
