Title: Brake fluid service £69?
Post by: DBXdarkangel on February 27, 2019, 05:56:44 pm
Hey guys. Has anyone has there fluid changed/ flushed with vw service £69?
I've booked mine in for next week and want to know if they purge/change the clutch fluid too as I believe it's on the same reservoir?
I asked with vw dealer chat and she was thick as pig sh*t. She didn't know and couldn't even find my car based on its reg.

Had mine done when local dealer was doing an offer for £39.
I'm DSG so no idea with regards to the clutch fluid.
Def made a difference to brake pedal feel, well worth doing.
Plus a wash, hoover and fluids topped up  :happy2:
See if you can speak with the service manager.

How do you guys find out about these VW offers? Is it just by ringing up / popping in? I know they do cambelt / water pump offers sometimes, but is it just a matter of chance, being in the right place at the right time, or is there some other way to be informed.
Cheers

Last time I had it done they said the clutch isn't included, but they did it anyway because I insisted   No extra charge.

My brake pedal feels loads better when VW do it compared to a DIY easi-bleed job.

It's on the same reservoir and the only reason I want it done is because I want my clutch bleeding. VW should bleed both as common practice

Step 6 The clutch and brakes run off the same system so you need to bleed the clutch as well"

I have vag-com so can do the abs pump surge myself but figured for £69 might as well let the dealer do it all.

Yep it is, but it’s extra work so you’ll need to check with your dealer.

Just got my car back and the clutch bleed is / was part of the brake fluid service change.
They also did a health check u see the car and found a few issues.
Worn drop links
Coolant leak from turbo hose to electric pump????
Rear trailing arm bushes a bit work
Both rear springs corroded
Boost pipe o rings leaking?
