Hi
I’ve been having issues with my air con. Have already done the following so any suggestions on where to go next would be great. Apologies if this is old ground for many.
Replaced the compressor
De-gassed and re-gassed the system
Replaced the internal blower fan
Have replaced the large radiator fan with control module(tested both fans and are working when powered)
Just not getting the cold air through!
Thanks in advance.

Maybe rad ???’

Check the air con pipes aren’t snagged or bent
-
Check the high pressure switch is working
-
Thanks for the replies.
Reckon I’ll try the pressure switch next as that seems relatively easy.

On the same note guys.. I just got regassed about a week ago and I get cold air just not AC ice cold enough like I get in my other cars. The mechanic told me that climatronics are like this and they never get fully cold lol, is that the case with your guys cars too?

My daughter (polo 12 plate) and son ( golf 05 plate)both have proper manual air-con and it gets seriously colder than my climate controlled system in my 05 plate gti.

Changed my switch last year and had my system regassed and it still didn't feel as cold as it should. This year it seems to be nice and icy cold even on the hottest day so far.

High pressure switch replaced and still not working!!
It is a later revision switch, I assume this wouldn’t be an issue?
-
Does the switch light up?
Does the compressor kick in at all?
Does the compressor kick in if you bridge the wires on the HP switch?
Have you had VCDS on it to see if any faults in the hvac (climatronic) module

did you do anything to make the following years performance icy cold? or did it just sort itself?

I changed my switch last year, got it regraded 2 weeks ago, was working fine now not again. So am guessing I have a slow leak..... back to the garage 🤞it’s not a fortune to fix.
