I bought 2 used electric folding mirrors off eBay then bought a new drivers door controller coded them in and bingo!!!

The car already had mirror dip on the passenger side so just had to change the mirror

Some great mods mate. I very nearly picked up a front bumper complete with grills and fogs off ebay for the girlfriends car as her's doesn't have them. Looked into doing it but sounded a right load of hassle. Good chance the wires weren't there and from what I can gather the BCM wouldn't even support them so I ditched that idea  :signLOL:

kind of fancy park assist 1 just because my car has pretty much everything else and there is a blank space between my DCC button and the parking sensors button  :signLOL:

bet that was a pain to code!

Yes, a lot of hard work gone into these mods, well done! :congrats:

I'm lining up a few of your mods as my 2014 project so I'm watching in awe!

Finally, have you been working from any retro fits to complete these mods and how you doing with park assist 2?

so bloody annoying the guy just reversed out of a space and right into my car, then says we were in the wrong and he feels like calling the police,so we told him to do that then he hits us with its typical its always the same as the people with a motability car or whatever its called always get picked on and he is going into hospital tomorrow to get one of his legs amputated(which makes loads of sense in going to buy a load of shopping when you will be in the hospital having your leg cut off :stupid: )

im so fecking pyissed off

Sorry to hear the bad new mate, it's always the same though. We do the mods to our cars but it's always someone else who thinks it needs that little bit more, nice dent or scratch,  :fighting:

The last storms we had with the high winds, I was parked in the ASDA car park and noticed this women in an Audi A5 putting her shopping in, it was peaing it down and she just left her trolly at the side of the car...ya can see what's coming can't ya! :stupid: the next thing I knew I felt the bump and just saw the trolley going down the side of me and this brand new BMW M5 at the side of me, I was raging!! Luckily no damage to either car that I could see but I hope they get a returned favour one day!

By the way Scott thanks for the photo, she's growing up too fast just like Liah. We'll have to arrange something to come up and see you after Xmas mate, have a good one and I'm sure you'll get the car sorted ASAP.

hi scott nice car and great mods got a couple of questions 1. what does the high beam assist do 2. how do u get the mph speedo on the display screen
Question 1-High Beam Assist!!!
It automatically puts your high beam on in dark roads and when it spots lights from another car it switches off then when it's safe with no oncoming traffic it switches itself back on(it's fantastic and saves you having to keep your left hand beside the stalk all the time to switch it on and off)
Question 2-MPH Speedo!!!
Have a look online there are loads of people who have done it it's easy

So many mk6 bits I need but don't have lol! Love the mods on this!  :happy2:

Scott, I remember you saying the colour MFD was via your dealer as a thank you etc but wondering whether you know if they have become available to order again as I've been after one for ages with no luck via carsystems etc?

You won't get them from carsystems ever again

My supplier supplied them and he can't get any clusters or RNS any more

Manual HVAC to Climatic
- The reason for this retrofit: early in the 2011 model run, VW began installing a downgraded, fully manual HVAC system instead of the semi-automatic Climatic system used previously. This mod will retrofit the Climatic components to cars with the manual system and give you the very worthwhile feature of automatic temperature regulation.

- This DIY does not pertain to the fully automatic, dual-zone Climatronic system. If you don’t know the difference between the manual, Climatic, and Climatronic systems, go search and you'll find plenty of other posts explaining them.

- If your car is a 2010, you should already have Climatic. Some 2011s also have Climatic, some don’t. AFIK, no 2012 version of the above models have it.

Looks better too with the chrome around the knobs which the manual one never had.

I was looking at one of these the other day (2.0 TDI Match) but couldn't quite bring myself to swap the GTI. Very nicely specced cars though and I like all the cool mods you've done with yours.

Any more details on the Climatic upgrade, in terms of what components need changing?

J400uk the Focals are definitely worth doing, great sound improvement over stock speakers
Degudodger the xenon light is amazing and with the high beam assist it's like lighting up a football pitch, and with the AFS it's superb,so glad I've done this
UTSI nope no engine mods done totally standard

Cheers for great comments guys

Looking good Scott  :happy2:

What I think would suite this is a new smoothed front bumper and the sucker mod for the front plate IMO lol

Just been through this from the start, Great read

I'm getting the parts together to do the TPMS mod at the moment but will probably use a different TPMS ECU.

Its a shame your so far away as I would like to know the CAN IDs your TPMS transmits so I can make sure my ECU does the same.
