I got a pair of Depo ones from ebay, not had any real issues so far. They're a single unit so you can't replace broken fittings which is a bit pants. Easy to fit, no need to remove the bumper just the top grill.

A dodgy ground somewhere? A culprit for all kind of things is where the boot looms go into the car. As well as various boot things not working my central locking started locking randomly when it was open.

I know this is an old, like me, thread...and John Hurdy has probably answered this for me before; but I swear I had seen somewhere some had tested how much HP can be made using the stock air-box and performance filter with the EA113 engine. Anyone seen this discussed or know first hand? Not really seeking guesses, I just respond to some asking this question with "quotI believe I recal

Just another thanks. Sorry this is such an old thread but it'#039s really useful! Getting the bloody back seat out was the worst for me nbsp  One thing to add for me is you'#039ll need to loosen off the rear wiper to get the driver'#039s side lights connector through.

For now I'#039ve shorted the high-level brake light connector otherwise none of them work. I think you can get th

DSG Build Code Question
Last Poster: ljc19630 in Technical Workshop on Yesterday at 05:33:35 pm
Hi folks,
Whats is the reason and relevance for the DSG Gearbox codes? For instance on my ED30 the code is KNB. I see loads of other codes banted around and was wondering what they are for? I assume that the DSG (DQ250) box is the same in all ED30 &amp MK5 GTi, or is this not the case? Would a box from another car not fit or work in mine unless it had the same code? :

Thanks - but don't think they would work on the clips at the filter like this:

Got round to doing the Intercooler this weekend.

Seems Off side front corner has had a light bump, the fog light was different and held in by wood screws, and the headlight washer had been damaged - cable tie wizard had done their magic:

Just leaving that as-is, its still working so no need to mess wit

So a few weeks after doing this with no issues, last week in the hot weather I develop another front end knocking noise but this time it’s worse, particularly noticeable when going over speed bumps.
I’ve checked all subframe bolts etc and had a good look round but can’t see anything obvious.
One thing I did do is to put poly super pro anti roll bar bushes in, I disconnect

Interesting debate nbsp

First of all, all car manufacturers are mandated by law to make their engines ingest their post combustion gases, both by EGR and PCV. nbsp Consumers and tuners alike messing with said emissions controls are actually breaking the law, but in the UK at least, it'#039s very loosely regulated.

Secondly, you might think, ah well, if it'#039s

Indeed. nbsp The force required to compress the weather seal when pushing these connectors home, ought to give people a clue that the same resistance needs to be relieved before disconnecting them. nbsp The amount of these connectors that get wrecked from people levering on them with screwdrivers is unreal nbsp

As the old adage goes, if you have to force something, stop...
