Title: Intro of my mk5's
Post by: ginjez on January 10, 2021, 04:39:25 pm
Thought it was about time I posted and introduced myself and my cars. I'm what some may describe as a mature owner or just plain old to be owning GTI's but heyho.
I've owned various GTI 's over recent years starting with a  couple of mk2 8v. The fascination grew so added an edition 35 and a mk7 R. I sold on the lot eventually tried a mk7 GTI. They all had to be 3 door, leather and sunroof. Looking at various forums and youtube videos I felt the need to try the last of the naturally aspirated engines so along came the R32. Again a 3 door in shadow blue with <90k, leather but sadly no sunroof. It shares the garage with an Rs4 - this is a beast of a car and possibly suits my age.

Then in November I noticed a Pirelli was just not selling and was slowly being reduced in price. I'd heard of the mk1 pirelli collaboration  but not the mk5. Looking at the reviews I liked the quirky seats and wheels so put in an offer that was accepted. Its 3dr with nice low miles and completely stock. Jobs to do are cambelt, service and thermostat when the weather improves.

I just need to work out how to post pics

Sounds good mate.

I find the easiest way to upload pictures is to download the mobile app - Tapatalk.

Hope this helps.
