The R32 for the wife  collected on the 20th December...

A surprise addition to the family - the money was meant to be saved until I got a contract extension confirmation in Feb and then promptly spent on Ed30 mods...     Could resist this near concours Mk2 GTI 16V with 73k miles when it came up on Autotrader for £4250.  I drove my wife's sold Lupo GTI to work in Hook (south of Reading) from Ipswich, then drove the Lupo GTI to Lincoln to drop it off to its new owners, took a train to Durham (didn't realise how far north it was when I went past York ) and drove the Mk2 back to Ipswich.

Thanks for the comments guys...  Thats the Mk1 in the garage hiding behind the R32     Prices for a mint Mk2 16v have gone up but they're worth every penny.  I've had a few Mk2's - thread and pics of all previous dubs coming soon  - and they were a bit cheaper a couple of years ago, but low mileage mint ones are getting scarce.  In fact I've been looking for a year now and only seen two low mileage Mk2 16vs with 3-doors and big bumpers.  I sold a minter 3 years ago to get my first new car ever - Mk5 GTI.  It had 56k on the clock, Tornado Red, big bumpers and drove like new - for £4850.  At the time it was a good price, but it would have been worth even more now.

Well I have never modded cars until I got started on the Ed30... so I've the following on the Mk2 16v:

Milltek fitted including manifold - they don't make them any more so a challenge to source.
BBS RAs fitted in February
Koni top adjustable suspension and Eibachs fitted
Eibach ARBs fitted
Front Strut
K&N Filter
1.8T engine - only kidding  :P

Well actually your sig played a big part in me going out and looking for another Mk2...  :happy2:  Just had to have one.  That Tornado Red brought back memories of my Tornado Red 16v - should never have sold it, best car I ever had bar none

Hey Illyun   :happy2: How you going to sleep with the MK1 out of your sight?

Quite soundly as although I have a double garage I need to get a garden shed in pronto to dump all the rubbish cluttered on one side so I don't actually have room at the moment for all the cars  :embarrassed:  I told VW to keep it until next week.
