After a relentless Google search marathon I cant seem to find a definitive answer... I want to swap out my Mk6 heated leather seats for Mk7 heated cloth seats. Are the heating and airbag connectors the same and are the rails compatible.
Anyone actualy done it?
Thanks in advance! :happy2:

Out of interest, why would you want to do such a thing?

I prefer cloth and also the slightly more angled bolsters on the Mk7 interior

Is it easy to change from leather to cloth.
I have leather but prefer cloth seats.

I recently swapped from heated leather gt seats in my 2008 mk5 to cloth heated mk6 gtd seats & it was a straight swap & all the plugs was the same, the only part i had to swap off my old seats was the under front seats lights as these was retrofitted to my car & i wanted to keep that feature. the slots was in the front seats just needed the lights a looms swapping over.
The main reason for the swap was for the comfort factor being high sided sports seats & i was offered them for a silly cheap price £270.

Nice result for you. I just prefer cloth to leather.
If I can find a set at a decent price are swap them over.
