Hi all, nbsp have a full k04 conversion gti mk5 and have noticed a minor misfire fault. nbsp Basically the misfire occurs only the once when the car has been left over night or for a few hours. nbsp After the one misfire everything is fine. nbsp I find this very bizarre as nbsp no fault codes. nbsp Recently had my k04 turbo rebuilt with an uprated thrust bearing and a genuine revision pcv breather v

Afternoon all,

I'#039m after a bit of help diagnosing an issue. I recently got the P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean code. Cleared it and in a few days it'#039s not returned. My question is could this be related to the P0401 code I get intermittently? The P0441 code throws up every few months, since I got the nbsp car (around a year and a half ago). I always figured that was something

Hi All
I wonder if someone could help me, I have just bought a 2006 GTI, with low mileage,I’m going through all of the small faults and trying to rectify them.
I noticed when the alarm is set off the hazards flash but no siren sound, so I swooped the siren for a newer one but still no sound, after checking the fuse diagram I found that fuse no17 for the alarm was blown so

When accelerating it would sometimes feel like the power was being held back for a second and then return, hot or cold.

Boost would suddenly drop on my gauge and return, and felt like something stuck and then suddenly opened......hard to describe.

I could not figure it out an

Re: Remaps
Last Poster: Hypertuned in MK6 General Area on Yesterday at 12:23:19 am
Before any remap, make sure your car &amp engine are up to date with regular maintenance.
IMO, it'#039s better to get the DSG mapped at the same time as the ECU remap. It will cost more, but most tuners will offer a discount if you do both at the same time. The remap wakes up the whole car/engine, but to get the best out of it, DSG tune should match for the best launch strategy &amp

Re: What shall I do? New turbo, 2nd hand turbo or reconditioned turbo?
Last Poster: skkane in Mk5 General Area on May 19, 2024, 06:11:33 pm
Buy new. I reconditioned my K04 after I torched the engine and noticed there was alot of play in the shaft when taking it all apart. It cost ~300 euros total for new core and balancing, nice china core I bet as original BW K04 core is around 750-850EUR. Lasted a good 6 months before it seized completely a few weeks ago. You could only spin the shaft in the opposite direction to wha

I know this is an old thread but I have a 2.0 TFSI Audi A4 with GIAC Stage 3 K04 tune Autotech HPFP and Golf R injectors.
Attaching the log after adjustment.
After adjustment (1.5 nut turn looser) It no longer goes limp after reducing the spring press on the wastegate which is great but I do feel like I hear a leak and it struggles to maintain spec sometimes.

Edition 30 Rear Valance -Pearl Black (Genuine Part)
Location: Manchester
Collection Only

For Sale is my old Pearl Black Edition 30 rear valance. This clips into the upper section of your rear bumper.
This was removed from my golf due someone backing into me at low speed causing surface cracks. (they offered to pay for a new valance)

The surface cracks are around the the number plate area which I've tried to photo the best i can.

The exhaust surround has been bonded back on by the body shop after an encounter with a high kerb a few years ago.

There are storage scratches on the paintwork so will need respraying. You will also need a towing eye cover.

All clips to clip the valance upper bumper section are intact and there is no sign of warping.

This is a genuine valance and was fitted to my ED30 from the factory.

For sale is my 2008 Volkswagen Golf GTi Edition 30 (DSG). I am the 2nd owner from new and have owned the car since November 2021. The car was near enough stock when I purchased it and I have upgraded it in my ownership.

    - Steel Grey.
    - 76,000 miles (will rise as still in use).
    - FSH - last serviced December 2023.
    - MOT - Expires 7th March 2025.
    - Xenons.
    - Heated seats.
    - Highline MFD.
    - Arm rest.
    - MFSW.
    - RNS510.

In my ownership I have had the following maintenence completed:

    - Thermostat replaced.
    - DSG service.

    Upgrades/modifications are as follows:

    - All rear control arms replaced (December 2023).
    - Geo By Luke fast road alignment (December 2023).
    - Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all around.

I've just spent circa £2.5k on the suspension components refresh.

I have spared no expense on ensuring the car is mechanically sound.

Being honest, the car could do with the wheels being refurbished. There is general wear and tear on the car which is expected for the age, the car is approaching 16 years old. There are some minor dents and scratches. The front end does have some stone chips. The inner sills have some slight blistering to the paint. The MFSW buttons work intermittently but I have bought the new control module but haven't had this fitted yet. The cruise control is also intermittent and I have purchased a new stalk, but haven't fitted this yet. Parts will be included in the sale, or if I have time, I will get them installed before sale.. Front and rear dash cams & pioneer double din are not included in the sale.

If you are looking for a well sorted car which mechanically has been looked after well, this is a good car to purchase.

I am in no rush to sell, only considering selling to upgrading. No part exchanges please.

The pictures are prior to the installation of the coilovers, I will upload new pictures once I have detailed the car.

I'm looking for £11,495.00, I paid just under this when I bought the car stock.

Please let me know if you have any queries.
