Title: DSG Torque Limiting
Post by: GTION on April 15, 2019, 09:32:29 pm
Hi guys,

My GTI is stage 1 remapped pushing out 249bhp and a healthy 391nm (288 ftlb)

From what I read, the DSG gearbox has a software torque limiter of 350nm (258 ftlb)

My DSG software is stock and I have not gotten it tune, does this mean that its limiting my Torque or should these torque limiters have been increased/removed as part of the ECU remap?

Thanks

I think I found the answer to my question

Just incase anyone else is researching this topic; its group 122 measuring blocks in VCDS , block is called Transmission Status and shows whether Torque is being reduced or not :)

So i just did a data log with VCDS and when I accelerate it does indeed show a “Torque Reduction”

Can anyone please let me know if this Torque Limit should have been increased/removed by my tuner as part of the Remap?

Thanks

Well did you find out?  I think I seen somewhere before that the reduction is removed when the box is mapped
