Came across these and was wondering if anyone else had bought from this seller? I’ve messaged him and he assures me they’re genuine but seems too good to be true at that price...

That is cheap if genuine. I priced a new front wing up at my local VW dealer in April and was quoted £128.05 plus V.A.T.
Passenger side front wing part number: 1K6 821 021 A
-
Yeah when I checked VW wanted £190 plus VAT so seems too cheap but I've taken a chance at £45. Non genuine ones are worth around that so can always sell it on if it turns out to to be aftermarket/poor fitment.
-
Get a refund if it's non genuine as it's false advertising.
-
I'd get one but they are collection only

@bobby_fodge (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=26224) I messaged the seller and they sorted out postage for me
@Octoparrot (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=14844) Ah yes, don't know why I didn't think of that!

This arrived today and all seems genuine. There’s a VW label on it with part number 1K6821022 and another engraved which is 1K6880682a. Not entirely sure why they’re different but googling both numbers brings up the wing
-
Bought one and paid postage, thanks Mark

I got a cheap one off eBay, seems they do not hold any stock, then if they get an order will buy one and then spray it the colour your ordered, hence the 15 day delivery.
It does not fit that well, and a keen body shop will spot the finish is a bit off also.
I had a scrape on a country road, crushing the wing and bit of the door, broken wing mirror, slight scratch on headlight. Authorised VW repair centre, quoted £2800 for repair, so if used insurance would have been written off.
Got the (dodgy) wing and new door, plus paying a local body work shop to change all the stuff in the door over, polished out the scratches, all for £500

@bobby_fodge (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=26224) no probs, just need to find a passenger side one now so I can get them both sprayed at the same time

i found a genuine passenger side one on ebay, not cheap but still less than from a dealer.
-
Yeah, I'll just keep searching, I'm sure one will come up

It might be worth giving RPS Online a try? They are a FB group that sell from a dealer in the midlands i believe.
Drop Michael Hindle an email on michael.hindle@listers.co.uk (put RPS online in the subject line)
As a reference, i was quoted £243.71 inc VAT and Delivery for a pair of genuine front wings.
Hope this helps
Rich

Cheers, just emailed them.

The wings in the OP aren't genuine, it even says they're not in the listing. What am I missing?
I've used those generic black stamped panels from GSF, ECP in the past and the metal quality is crap. They will rust through in 2-3 years.

@Pudding (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10733) It's linking to a pair of non genuine ones now as the listing (at the top) has ended...
-
my wing arrived and it's all stamped up the same as a nearside one I paid much more for.
