Title: MK5 non gti, powersteering problems
Post by: andy211 on July 15, 2023, 03:57:40 pm
Hello, i recently got into problems with the electric powersteering.
While i was steering, the steering wheel on my dash started flashing red/yellow, and then my powersteering got off instantly.

Did go to a mechanic and just asked for fault codes.

19 Data Bus OBD Interface:
01309 Power Steering Control Module. No signal/communication

44 Power Steering:
01299 Diagnostic Interface For Data Bus. No signal/communication
01312 Drive Train Data Bus. Defective
00625 Speed Signal. No signal/communication
01314 Engine Control Module (ECM). No signal/communication
00446 Function Limitation Due to insufficient voltage. Lower Limit Exceeded

17 Instrument Cluster
01309 Power Steering Control Module. No signal/communication (same as 19)

Sometimes when i turn on the car and i do not turn the steering wheel, the error in the dash doesnt appear, and the powersteering works for 10 to 15 secs, but then every little move of the steering wheel triggers that
dash light and after some seconds p.s turns off.

I would really apreciate any kind of help. :driver:

Update: No fuses blown.
