Hello total newbi here
I've just bought a rcd 310 to replace my worn rcd 300,I haven't fitted it yet but how do I know if I'm going to get battery drain,and how do I stop it if i do ideally cheaply I have herd maybe changing the fuse?
Car is a 2005 gti

Yes, it will drain your battery. Fuse sh1t has disantvatages like no memory etc. I can sell you precoded can gateway for your car.

DAB is not important, any 2nd generation stereo RCD310, RCD/RNS510,310,315 etc will require a new gateway.
