it looks like its started to corrode... is that something under warrenty? :rolleye:
-
mine is doing the same thing,i need to take it to the steelers for them to have a look
-
seems to becoming a common problem this. So much so, the dealers will probably have a bullitin about it. So they should know what to and will be able to claim back costs. Dealers only seem to have a problem with things like this without bullitins. Most poor sods don't have or use brains at my dealers so are utterly useless on the warranty side with an instruction :)
-
Now if only you took up the group buy for the CF ones...
-
I was told by my dealer that it is covered by the warranty, that was without me even asking.
-
Yes it is covered under warrenty, I had mine replaced when i had it serviced without them even inspecting it first, Even got a call the day before my service sayin all my warrenty parts were there awainting my car to come in. :happy2:
-
do they replace the whole thing or just the "silver part"

I believe it is, as mine was repalced with a new style one.

I bet lincoln vw will reckon it isnt covered!!they are such a loada A holes there, ive given up with them and am going to take it to louth vw from now on!! My car went in for a new part in the air intake, they didnt replace the engine cover properly, it became loose and snapped the top of the oil filler cap off!!

Right guys. Recently had my service at silverlink colebrook and burges newcastle. Total bunch of wanabees. The receptionist was too bothered about giving me her card claiming a first class service, and trying to sniff my ass than listening to my issues. Car came back dirty with rice on front seats after a supposed valet. I asked them too replace the back badge and hubs due to white worm but they refused.
I complained my arse off and the stuck up pokey bum xankers hung up on me. Oooo i wasnt impressed.
Got out my 3rd year law books on contract law and threatened away.
End of the day they claimed my extended warrenty didnt cover corrosion. They replaced my boot lid badge and wrote it off as a catch mechanism problem. Wouldnt touch the hubs.
Unhappy vw customer! All that effort for a cheep emblem.
-
they sound like a bunch of jobs worths
my local dealership are pretty cool for things like this, seen them cough for entire resprays too without fuss
-
my VW boot handle is also becoming corroded / slightly scratched - would be great if i could get that replaced under warranty
