Title: Engine difference???

Hi all... been off the forum for a while but hopefully be back soon with a gti if I can find a decent one.

Anyway...

Looked at a few and just not happy with any I’ve seen but I went and look at a seat Leon tfsi sport earlier and a check revealed that it’s only 185bhp out the box despite having the same engine as the gti?

Sure the engine code is BWA1.. anyone no if anything on the engine is different to make the power output lower?

hi mate, personally I've never heard if a BWA1 unless the actual engine code ends in a numerical prefix.
i would of thought the 185hp would only have something to do with the standard tune. A lot more will be available

Its the same engine as the gti bwa but the map is different and its said that the exhaust is slightly more restricted
