The book for less then 8k according to parkers guide
Yes there limited I know yes they are nice
But I don't get how a 2007 plate can be 11k for 7 year old car !
I mean when I get one I'll want top dollar but it's mad
-
Book price is always less than what private sale will reach.
If there's less of them and there nice to look at its always Guna hold its value.
-
Book means nothing it's just a guideline it's down to demand for the car people still want them and being honest after nearly 7 years of ownership they are worth the money
-
I'm looking for one in black or red 3 door anything I should look for
Been told the turbo sh*ts it self due to plastic pipe !???
-
I laughed at this as I posted the exact same topic on the R32 Forum when I was looking to buy one.
I guess VW just hold the value and hold it well they do.
You will see the value of an ED30 if and when you buy it :happy2:

Nonsense
Never ever heard of that failure on this forum in 4 years
-
They are keeping there price because they are sort of limited numbers. Also they are a bloody amazing car for the money. Spend a few quid (ok... few thousand) on them and they are very very capable.

The GTI6 made the Eddy stay in grace for many (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/266114-18tsi-and-20tsi-engine-failures/) reasons.
The 7 should've been the 6, a true generation leap.
The 8 will only be a tweaked 7. VW seem to only do significant changes every 2 generations now (bit like apple)
-
Isnt the mk6 still using tfsi? In the ed35 anyway?
-
The mk7 uses an all new chassis too I believe? Unlike the new Rocco R which is still a mk5 underneath which kind of shows you how much VW love the mk5 platform.

Changed that for ya

only had mine for a couple months but one of the best cars Ive ever owned. Well worth the money I paid :-)
-
Agreed! They are lovely cars and really do hold their money.
-
All VW's hold their money, so when it comes to a ltd edition version that's only going to be more exaggerated
-
Found a nice 08 plate for 9k. 70k on clock. Think I got a deal
-
That is a good deal! I just paid 10,000 on the button for my 2008 ed30 on 72k... But it's DSG and has quite a few optional extras so I don't feel too cheated haha! :)
-
looking forward to seeing it :-) they are ace cars

I was looking for a while but couldnt find a nice example for under 10k, I wanted another Eddy, but ended up going for a MK5 R32 instead :happy2:
