My cars taken a back seat for the time being until I get the garage back - its covered in dust from the building work and not been washed for a couple of weeks now. Still collecting bits though.. new badge, brakes, IC and have something planned for the wheels too once the weather turns better :wink:

the reflections in that black car nath was referring too has been wet sanded to remove the orange peel. and then obviously followed up with a sublime detail.
hats off, that is a mirror.
I have done a few bits on mine and now wondering whether or not i should do the lot.
Some would say its overkill, but thats how top end cars used to come. the change to waterbased paints has just left the door wide open for that to be the cause of Orange peel these days!

Cheers people.. my calipers are in a very sorry state. The dealers where i got it from decided to refurb rims. They left the wheels on the car and didnt mask the calipers... So i've got (dirty) red calipers with nice oversprays of silver :grin: :grin:

Hi Rob, thanks for the kind words, my car has H&R Springs and they have lowered it by around 25-30mm. The ride isnt really affected in terms of comfort, they have definately improved the body roll and the cars does feel better round bends. H&R's arent the cheapest option but im happy with them!

Soon after buying my ED30 (bout 18-20 months ago), I commented how cool I thought the car would look if it had a (lime) green stripe instead of a red one, with matching brakes to boot. Everyone shot me down for it but someone's actually gone and done it. It looks exactly as I imagined. :scared:

....They are Monza 18's (I think but it's not so clear from the poor pic) but with the inserts painted black (same as Mk6 GTI wheels) - It makes the wheels look bigger than they are.

....Do you mean they look more 'dished'? The W12 had bodywork to accommodate a wider more dished wheel.
The problem with that photo is that a wide angle lens is distorting things... Check the front wheel perspective with the rear wheel perspective - They're not in the same plane. All the detail is lost in the bodywork too - It's a crap photo imo.

You can clearly see that the rim bends outways in the "middle of the hole" as opposed to the monza's that are totally flat facing outwards :happy2:

....I don't think he can be right. Original BBS Monza's use their Hollow Technology and replicas are always heavier. Even an original Monza 17 weighs 11kg each (without tyres).

Yeah was looking at both but couldn't justify the price tag of the oz's in 19s, as for me they look alot better than in 18", so I've gone for the pro race 1.2s too :wink:

The CH's were fine. There is only one corner they would ever run on when it was taken quick because there is a bit of lock wound on. But really, nothing.
The CH-R's will rub when the car is push hard in the corner. I actually have a small lip where the tyre has pulled on the guard on each side. 225's. Needs rolling. It's not overly low either!
