Hi,
Firstly I've had a search and I can't see anyone experiencing the same issue.
My wife's 2005 Golf GTI suddenly developed 2 faults at the same time. The front and rear washers don't work (can't hear the motor or a click, wipers work) and the rear wiper won't turn off. Obviously these are somehow related, but how? Which part would this point at?
I have tried the battery reset trick for half an hour and nothing changed.
Thanks,
Paul

I just checked and yes it does.

checked the fuse?
I've pulled fuse (41) for the rear wiper for the moment, I can't find a fuse for the washers in the owners manual.

check fuse 24 mate

If it’s not the fuse then it’ll most likely be the J59 relay.
It’s located under the drivers side cubby storage thing. It’ll say KL75 above it. Bit of a fiddle to get to mind.

You can try swapping the relay with the opposite side one to see if it’s faulty

Genius, it wasn't quite fuse 24, it was fuse 42 that was blown. I've replaced the fuse and everything has returned to normal. How odd that a blown fuse can cuase the wiper to stick on.
Thanks for your help, I should have spotted that when I pulled the fuse next to it, I just didn't think a fuse would cause another issue.

Not at all, it might help someone else later  Relays was where I was going to go next, I had a look at them last week but I couldn't even pull them out.

So I have similar issue with rear wiper and both rear and front washers not working. I have checked all the fuses and replaced the J59 relay. None of that has changed anything. washers or anything not getting any power.
any ideas?
