Title: Mk7 badge fit on mk5 grill?

Found a red mk7 gti badge online just wondering if anyone knew if it fits on the mk5 grill?

Doesn't look like it will fit without some bodging of the lugs on the badge.

Has anyone tried to fit it in a mk6 front grill? The mk6 GTI and GTD badges fit in the mk5 grill. If they are compatible with the mk6, they would also be with the mk5. :smiley:
