What filter did you use?
-
Gorgeous!!
What camera did you use?
-
I didn't use any filters on this occasion and the image was take with a Canon 700d and the standard 18-55mm lense. The rest I did in Photoshop/Light room.
-
Looking at 700D myself... Would you rate it over the 1300D or 750D?

It's a nice camera and paired with a good lense it takes quality shots. If I had the opportunity though I'd go for the 760d. Just for the added pixel count (from cropping purposes) and the WiFi connectivity. Can't knock my 700d though.
-
Few other shots with it for you to look so you can see what images it captures. Plus I love showing off my work, lol.

They're very good shots!
Are you also paying for photoshop?
Photography and picture editing is a hobby I'd like to take up. I actually have the opportunity to get a camera through work just by chance too so now is a better time than ever.
That shot of the bee, did you then crop out the surroundings and enhance the black and yellows and take it with a high ISO for the finite details on it's hairs?
-
Thanks pal.
I subscribe to Adobes Photoshop package for £8 per month. It's well worth it if your going to take the time to learn how to use it.
The Wasp was actually taken on the roof of my Golf with a macro lense that I have so it dint really need cropping. I use photoshop to just darken the shadows in order to remove any blemishes on the black paint and increased saturation.

I'll be back to you for more advice when I get the camera! :notworthy:

It's actually a German Wasp - Vespula Germanica. Sat on a German car!
Brilliant photos by the way. Really professional.

I'm glad you posted that. Me and a mate have been arguing over whether it was a Wasp or a Hornet and you just answered it! Cheers buddy!

Slightly larger and apparently a bit more aggressive than the common wasp. Quite rare in comparison.

Brilliant photos

On the camera front. If you can stretch the budget try and go full frame, either a used 5D MK2/3 or 6D. I currently have the latter but used to have a 5D MK2 and they are both fantastic.

Impressive

I wish I was good at this sort of thing
